# Upgrading your VM Configuration

#### **Important Note:** Instances can only be **upgraded to higher configurations**. Downgrading to a lower configuration is currently not supported.

Steps are as follows:

### Access Plan Change Option

Navigate to **Instances**, select the desired instance, and go to **VM Settings → Change Plan**.

### Configure Upgrade

Select the required VM configuration, confirm the billing cycle, review the changes, and click on **Change Plan** to proceed.

#### Reboot the Instance <a href="#reboot-the-instance" id="reboot-the-instance"></a>

Once the instance is successfully upgraded, reboot the instance to ensure the changes take effect.
