Block Snapshots (restore/clone)

Create point-in-time copies of volumes to protect data or clone environments.

Create → Restore ▶️

1. Quiesce the application if needed (flush writes)

2. Create snapshot from the volume actions

3. Restore/Clone to a new volume when required

4. Attach the new volume and mount in the OS

Policies

• Label snapshots with owner, env, reason

• Prune old snapshots to manage cost

• Combine snapshots with Backups for BCP
