Snapshots

Create VM disk snapshots to protect against misconfigurations and roll back quickly.

Create → Restore ▶️

1. Navigate to Snapshots → Create New

   • Choose project and data center location

1. Create snapshot from the instance or block storage

   • Label snapshots (owner/env/reason) and prune regularly

1. Review the billing summary and Create Snapshot

• Snapshot before major updates, migrations, or schema changes

• For app-consistency, quiesce services first
